Q: Can I attend for only one day?
A: Yes, but you still need to have purchased a wristband (ticket) for the entire event!

Q: Can I park on the RTD property?
A: Yes, onsite parking is on a first come, first serve basis. All overflow parking will be directed to the CAF parking area.

Q: What time can I arrive for the festival each day? What time do the gates open?
A: The gates open Friday, August 10th at 2:00 pm and Saturday, August 11th at 10:00 am.

Q: Can I bring a pop-up camper or RV to keep my stuff in while I am attending the festival?
A: Yes, however, you must park all RVs and pop up campers in the designated area on the RTD parking lot.

Q: Can I bring bicycles, gas powered or electric scooters, segways, or golf carts on RTD property?
A: RTD does not allow unicycles, pogo sticks, bicycles, scooters, segways, or golf carts (other than authorized RTD golf carts) on the RTD site.

Q: Does RTD have hot or cold showers?
A: Yes, only portable showers available for CAMPERS ONLY. Campers must purchase a daily pass available at camping check in.

Q: Are campers or attendees allowed to have campfires, cook out, or use a barbeque grill?
A: No…no fires or cooking allowed by campers or attendees.

Q: Are pets allowed on the Rock The Desert grounds.
A: NO… pets are not allowed on the RTD grounds.

Q: Can we lay down a blanket or lawn chairs early in the morning in front of the stage to reserve a place close up?
A: The area directly in front of the stage, back to the sound tower is designated for those who want to stand during the concerts. However, blankets and lawn chairs are allowed any where else on the festival grounds. Between bands, you may spread a blanket to sit on in the designated standing area, but you must pick it up during the concerts to allow enough room for others to stand. If blankets or lawn chairs are left unattended over night, they will be cleared and taken to lost and found.

Q: How are campsites assigned at the festival’s camping area?
A: Campsites are assigned as you arrive at the property to check-in. Only registered campers/groups will be allowed to camp out. Groups must be accompanied by at least one person who is 21 years of age or older. The exception is a group of adults (adult means 18 years of age or older). Groups include: families, Church youth groups, College groups, groups of friends. There are no exceptions to the age rules. (See camping on the website for more information)

Q: Is there drinking water available?
A: Yes…there is bottled water for sale and you can also bring your own bottled water to the festival. Emergency water station is located in all medical tents.

Q: Can I bring a cooler to the festival?
A: Yes…however coolers are subject to search by security and NO GLASS CONTAINERS.

Q: Can I bring alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, weapons of any kind to Rock The Desert?
A: NO, alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, and weapons are not allowed at Rock The Desert. The above mentioned items will be confiscated and you may be asked to leave the grounds.

Q: Can I smoke on the RTD grounds?
A: No, smoking is not allowed on the RTD grounds.

Q: Can I fish in the lake? Swim in the lake? Play on the water recreation equipment?
A: No, no one will be allowed in the lake.

Q: Is there anything else that I need to know?
A: Yes…You are not allowed to bring laser pointers. Absolutely NO audio or video recording is allowed in the concert area. If you disregard this rule, your item(s) will be confiscated!
